The New Look

The New Look was the name given to Dior's style. His designes contained many creating shapes and silhouettes. Those designs were inspired by the World War II. He used many kinds of fabrics. He mostly used the fabrics used during the World War II. At the beggining, women did not liked his designs, but then his designs became popular. Later on, he opend stores around the world such as, Paris, London, Tokyo, Milan, and many more countries.

Christian Dior

In 1905 a little boy was born in France. His name was, Christian Dior. Dior came from a wealthy family. At the age of fifteen he entered to the Ecole des Sciences Politiques. After finishing his studies, with the help of his father, he opened an art gallery. Years after, his family had financial problems, so, he he had to sell the gallery. Later, to get work, he used to do sketches of couture house. In 1945, he opened his own fashion business. Twelve years later, he died in Italy.

The Chanel Empire

The Chanel Empire started in 1923 with an elegant and comfortable suit. That suit made the new brand a big stand-out. Later on, Coco came up with the idea of of a variety of fashion wear. As time passed, she made famous a little black dress, that could be weared in the day and in the evening. It depended on the accesories the person used. The key to her success was, simplicity. Her couture was all about simplicity and chic accesories. Now, her empire is still growing; although, she is not alive any more.

Coco Chanel...

In 1883 a little, french girl was born. As she grew up, her parents died. Later, at the age of eighteen, she moved to Balsan to work. On her free time, she began to design hats. People started to like her hat designs; later on, she became a famous designer. In 1923, Coco Chanel came up with the "Chanel Suit". Her design made her a famous, designer. For about thirty years, she lived in the Ritz hotel while the Nazi were in France. During her last years, she lived in Lausanne, Switzerland. Later on, she died and was buried in the same country.

Dolce and Gabbana has been a great success in the market. Over the years, both creators had come with many ideas. Clothing, footwear, fragrances, and sun glasses are some of the things included in every collection. The collection D&G is one of the projects that both designers had create. A Motorola RAZAR was also a thing that they sold in the market for limited time. D&G made also a collection inspired for children, it was called, D&G Junior.

History of Dolce&Gabbana

Dolce and Gabbana was founded in 1985 by two italian designers. The skills of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana was a great success in Italy. As the time went by, their success also appeared in New York, Hollywood, and later all the world. Dolce and Gabbana's main building is in Milan, Italy. In 2005, both designers anounced the brand separation. Now in 2007, the brand has not actully separated.s
